Fantasy Football Player Rumblings
Huummpp day, ya feel?
What I am feelin’, or not feelin’, is sometimes based upon how the players are feelin’.
Everyone wants to provide their opinion or their analysis on why they are high or low on a particular player. How about we hear what the players have to say?
This has been some of the chatter and actions (AKA workout videos) from the players I’ve been noting and observing. Really, it’s player noise. Should we buy into it or not? That is for you to decide.
Chatter
Let’s start with Austin Ekeler’s response to the counselor. This type of in-depth response from a player reads that he has heightened awareness about fantasy football and may mean he cares about producing as a RB1 for all fantasy managers across the universe. He even refers to himself as a “threat all over the field” and drops in a sefie-stat that he only lines up in the backfield 30% of the time.
In 2019 Courtland Sutton was targeted 115 times and caught 72 receptions. He also had 3 drops and is looking to improve that number.
3 too many! I will do better 😤 https://t.co/DZGO9w8TBV

Tampa Bay’s 2020 third round RB pick Ke’Shawn Vaughn is clearly motivated by doubters. All aboard the Vaughn train?
Reading all these disrespectful tweets that mention my name 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Fall in line with the rest of the doubters who hopped on the Vaughn train late 😁.

The NFL is completing their top 100 current NFL players and ranked Allen at # 77. Not happy to be in the bottom 25% of the top 100, Allen spoke claiming he is the best WR in the AFC West. Tyreek Hill, Courtland Sutton, step aside. I am guessing he doesn’t know that the fantasy market is valuing him in the 4th-5th round in drafts. That would probably really light a fire under him. Is the fantasy market too low on Allen? After all, he has been a WR1 three years in a row..
IM THE BEST WR IN THE AFC WEST!!! Without question!!!
— Keenan Allen (@Keenan13Allen) July 27, 2020
Oh boy (happening live as I type this)..Allen didn’t stop at the AFC West. No. NO.. He decided to also call out both 1-3 round 2020 fantasy selections Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. In this tweet, he reinforced that he is the clearly the best WR in the AFC West by tagging the cheetah (AKA Tyreek Hill).
Ok I’m tired of biten my tongue...@cheetah @MikeEvans13_ @chrisgoodwin... ( and the list goes on) ARE NOT a better reciever than me! Faster than me...every day of the week but separation..CHILD PLEASE! https://t.co/rBQwJZWkE3

It seems as if Allen was so wound up that he inadvertently tagged the wrong Chris Godwin. Both Tampa Bay receivers responded quickly. Evans makes it clear that he is on another level than Allen while Godwin alludes to it.
You tagged the wrong Chris Godwin lol and don’t be mad at us we ain’t make the rankings or care about em. I like the confidence but be realistic you not on my level bro https://t.co/AONodMpfkW
— Mike Evans (@MikeEvans13_) July 27, 2020
oh shit lol Don’t sweat it G, Chris Goodwin ain’t better than me either 😂😂 https://t.co/3kh18Puk54

This type of situation I don’t think can be overlooked. Allen now is going to have a lot to prove in the 2020 season.
Workout Vidz
King Henry retweeted a video of what appears to be him training on the back hills of Alabama. This guy is the definition of a thoroughbred workhorse (321 carries in 2019..400 carries in 2020???)…

While Henry’s video was grunting type work, Le’Veon Bell and James Conner teamed up for a well choreographed video. Is it just me or does Conner look like he’s moving faster and quicker than Bell?

Hollywood Brown has been posting and re-sharing his workout videos across all social media. I’ve been watching and the eye test is saying, “Wow. This guy is a different kind of fast.” It really must be all of the crazy one leg exercises he’s doing.
Soooo who wanna go 1v1 with Hollywood Brown? 🤯 (via @Primetime_jet) pic.twitter.com/QqI0mh53qO

As fast as Hollywood has looked, Mecole Hardman has been running 20+ MPH on the treadmill with ease. Don’t try this at home kids.
Mecole makes hitting 23 mph look effortless 😳 @MecoleHardman4 @Chiefs

Hardman has also been training with third year breakout candidate Calvin Ridley. Everyone is jumping aboard the Ridley ship. Why not Hardman?

Looks like Leonard Fournette is fading the noise about a potential exit in Jacksonville after 2020. I’m not sure if the quick partial words in this video are adding a dramatic effect, but he looks like he is moving quite swift.

Why train standing on the ground when you can train on a bosu ball? If you have ever tried to balance on a bosu, you know this OBJ work is impressive.

And OBJ isn’t the only one doing balance work. Check out Alvin Kamara perform this juggling act.
“There’s no way to make it harder than standing on a ball catching those colors”.... well I think we found a way @A_kamara6 🤣 🔊SOUND ON🔊 Check my IG for full breakdown. @NFL #NFL #saints #whodat @ESPNNFL #athletixrehab #drreef #ak41 @Saints pic.twitter.com/D3Qy5b8hnz

Finally, other players than OBJ have the ability to make one handed catches. Mike Williams has been practicing.

That’s enough self-promoted noise for one post. See you next time.
