One From The Bun: Battling The Trolls
Hello friends, it’s been a while since I’ve been able to write about DFS, mainly because my god damn day job has been insane and I haven’t been able to devote 20+ hours a week to fantasy like I used to. I do not want to be an adult.
My lack of preparation and focus has been apparent from my fantasy results across the board. In DFS, I’ve resorted to only playing a few leagues per week with a low-dollar amount, and I’ve still gotten last, DEAD FUCKING LAST, multiple times in recent weeks.
I’m still only playing one lineup a week, and this week was another shitshow.
Fart.
I really wanted to take a shot on Lamar-Andrews stack this week, and decided to take a shot on low-owned Derrick Henry. Big miss. I originally had Chase Edmonds in the flex, but decided to late-swap off the chalk the lower-owned Conner since my early plays weren’t strong. Didn’t matter!
Meanwhile, in my main home league, I continue to get embarrassed. With Tyler Boyd and Calvin Ridley unavailable this week, and my second round pick Austin Ekeler still on the IR, I was already short-handed. It got even more ugly from there, as my QB, Stafford, got hurt, and James Conner only saw 9 carries in what was supposed to a great matchup.
As such, I ended up losing to someone who started TWO GUYS WHO DIDN’T EVEN PLAY. HE LEFT ADAM HUMPHRIES AND GREG WARD IN HIS LINEUP. TWO ZEROES, AND I STILL LOST.
In the meantime, my league mates have been quick to jump on my shitty team.
Let me just say, I will NEVER EVER refer to myself as an expert in any field, especially fantasy. Still, the jokes kept rolling…

I could remind these dorks that I’m the only two-time champion of this league, but I digress. Plus, there’s been plenty of other trolls out there ripping my first-year performance here at FU. Can’t say I blame them. I’m an easy target.
But it’s all fuel. I know the dark clouds will eventually clear and I’ll get back to my usual form. And if any of these best ball tourney teams end up hitting big, I know who I’m not sharing the money with! SUCK IT, HATERS! I WILL BE BACK.
