One From The Bun: The Cowardly Kupp
I’m ashamed of myself. I came into this year planning to play cash MY WAY. Meaning I wouldn’t define players as cash vs tourney plays, but instead just going with my guys each week. I did not do that this week.
For example, during the week I was beating the drum for Cooper Kupp, who drew a favorable match-up, per PFF’s WR/CB match-up tool, and was likely to be freed up some with Tre’Davious White taking Robert Woods most of the game. Not to mention, the Bills high-paced offense would likely lead to more passing.
I even made a bet that I’d get a tattoo if he didn’t score 20+ points last week! SERIOUSLY I HAVE VIDEO EVIDENCE.
But did I play Kupp in my cash lineup? NO! I bitched out. It didn’t feel “safe” enough, and I paid the price.
Amazingly, I was still slightly profitable in my H2Hs, but I failed to cash in the biggest 50/50s and double-ups, meaning my week overall was not profitable. I don’t mind losing, but I want to lose MY way. I’m sick!
I’m moving on to week 4 with a vengeance. I need to do better. Screenshots are below for my H2H and 50/50 performances. I had to break them up because I entered about $50 in tourneys, too, including accidentally entering my cash team in the Milly Maker, essentially throwing away $20 — AWESOME. At the same time, I’m not going to beat myself up too much for a week where the winning Milly lineup include Rex fucking Burkhead.
