Best Ball Team Stack ADPs For Underdog

Hello Australia and all other inferior locations. Rob recently put together some tasty spreadsheets that quantified the average draft position (ADP) cost for team stacks on UnderdogFantasy. They’re a great way to visualize the draft capital required to target certain team stacks in fantasy football best ball drafts.

Josh and Rob recently sat down for a late-night discussion about the data - the video is below. That is followed by the aforementioned tables and some of our biggest takeaways from them — there are some notable ones.

AND HERE ARE THE TABLES/DATA JUST LIKE WE PROMISED.

Total cost of first 4 and 5 players on a team based on ADP

So this table really shows how expensive/impossible it is to stack Kansas City, and conversely how cheap stacks like Miami and Indianapolis are. This next table — EXIBIT B! — compares current team stack ADPs to last year’s total fantasy points scored by the offense. By this calculation, the Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are undervalued.

Intuitively this makes sense, too, because if you want to stack Buffalo, you can get Gabriel Davis and Cole Beasley after round 10, and for Tampa Bay, Chris Godwin can be easily acquired in the late fourth, with running backs Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones not going until after round 7, and then WR3 Antonio Brown going in rounds 8-9.

Much more fantasy goodness to come, Australia — especially now that we got our video game rolling. We’ll be ready to go once the Vegas Trip comes around in September. Let’s party.
